HeineJones have provided design services to Merit Commercial Interiors for several years, including brand naming, brand identity and brand personality development; editorial design and art direction; and brand implementation.

Merit, established in 1982, is a family business with a commercial building background. HeineJones have consulted on many projects including the design and implementation of the Merit brand identity and naming and design of Merit's news letter - M1, which took it's name from both Merit's initial 'M' and Merit's proximity to the M1 freeway - a route taken by Melbourne customers to Merit's office and showroom based in Corio.

HeineJones have also developed a suite of product and service brochures for Merit, packed in a uniquely presented box folder. Recommendations for commercial environmental graphics have also been provided by HeineJones.

More recently, HeineJones have developed the brand naming, brand identity and editorial design look and feel for Merit's sister company - Boxii. The name - invented by HeineJones - references the box-like form of storage systems presented under this brand banner. The minimalist wordmark with inverted double 'i' forms a confident brand statement. A Boxii brand language was developed using the initial 'b' of Boxii and the referenced the double dots to communicate the product categories - b: flexible, b:practical and b:innovative, to name a few.

Overall this is a seamless connection between branding and editorial design that provides design scope for future editorial projects for print and digital applications.
