In 2003, Mount Buller Resort Management Board engaged Heine Jones to design a custom sign solution for the new Mount Buller Summer Trail.

Mount Buller and Mount Stirling Resort Management developed a summer walking trail to attract visitors to the mountain outside the popular winter ski season. HeineJones developed a custom sign solution for Mount Buller’s Summer Trail, and a wayfinding system for the village. Informative and practical, the sign suite effectively addressed Management’s desire to better direct and assist visitors to the mountain.

The walking trail’s system is designed to direct both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. We established simple and strong directional signs at relevant locations along the trail, and a series of tough, box-shaped interpretive signs. Our signs are impermeable, and are easily removed for the winter ski season.
